The Ryan White HIV/AIDS Program is a federal program that provides health services relating to HIV for those who do not have sufficient health care coverage or other resources to cope with HIV. HIV pre-exposure prophylaxis and HIV post-exposure prophylaxis are effective for preventing HIV. A daily pill can prevent HIV. When taken daily, PrEP reduces the risk of acquiring HIV through sexual contact by over 99%.
