Infant Cribs

The Fetal and Infant Mortality Review (FIMR) Program provides Pack N Plays (portable cribs) to parents of infants aged newborn to 5 months old. To qualify, parents must reside in Shelby County and not have a safe crib in the home. 

Appointments:

A telephone Safe Sleep Education appointment is required to obtain a Pack N Play. Appointments are available Monday through Friday, 8:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. by calling 901-222-9263. Crib pickup is available Monday through Friday, 10:00 am-4:00 pm.  Crib delivery is available Wednesday and Friday 2:00 pm-4:30 pm.

FAQs

Q: I have received a crib in the past, in my new infant eligible?

A: If your infant is newborn to 5 months old and there is not a crib available in the home for that infant only, give us a call (901-222-9263) to receive a crib.

Q: I have twins, do they each receive a crib?

A: All infants should sleep alone.  Call (901-222-9263) to receive a crib for each infant newborn to 5 months old.

Q: My baby is due soon; can I make an appointment before the baby is born?

A: Call (901-222-9263) as soon as your baby is born.   Either parent, a family member, or a friend can also call to receive education and arrange crib pick up with information from one or both parents.
