Family Planning services will be conducted at the Shelby Crossing and Hickory Hill Public Health Clinic(s).

Family Planning participants should contact the Shelby County Health Department Public Health Clinic Information and Appointment line at (901) 222-9527 to make FAMILY PLANNING APPOINTMENTS per clinic site.
The Shelby County Health Department's Family Planning Program offers low to no-cost birth control through a Title X funded grant. The services, open to male, female and the LGBTQ community, include the following:
- Well woman/man exam
- Pap smear with STD/STI exam
- Pregnancy testing
- Preconception counseling
- Contraceptive counseling
- Breast exam with referral if needed
- Blood pressure, height, weight
- Urinalysis
- Hemoglobin test if needed
The different contraceptives available include various types of oral birth control pills, male and female condoms, Depo-provera injection, implants, intrauterine devices (IUD) as well as a prescription for the birth control patch and ring.
